Close Up hosts and takes part in a variety of events, both in person and online, to help students and teachers discuss policy issues and connect with members of our nationwide community. These discussions, deliberations, and presentations allow participants to hear different perspectives from experts and each other, and consider new approaches to engaging with current issues.

Close Up and Earth Force will co-host a panel discussion about community resilience to environmental disasters and climate change. Students and teachers will consider how communities should plan for and respond to threats such as wildfires, earthquakes, and other extreme weather events and will evaluate the role of federal, state, and local governments as well as the role of non-profits and private industry in creating more prepared and resilient communities.
Date and Time: March 8 | 7:15pm (EST) / 4:15pm (PST)
