The transportation department supports Close Up’s mission by providing airline and ground transportation for students and adults traveling to Washington, DC, throughout the United States.
Job Summary | The Close Up transportation department is seeking a new team member with experience in the airline/hospitality industry, specifically groups, who is a responsible, customer service-oriented individual to perform a variety of administrative tasks to support our transportation operation. Duties will involve finalizing travel plans for our participants, preparing reports such as bus orders for our ground operation, proofing airline itineraries, maintaining appropriate filing and data entry. The position will also assist in problem solving logistical issues during our weekday operation and offer customer service support for our weekend operation as the on-call weekend Manager on Duty (MOD). The ideal candidate should have hospitality experience, excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using all Microsoft 365 applications and office equipment.

Position Overview | The program leader is a passionate, energetic individual who leads diverse students in grades 6-12 throughout residential, week-long, civic education programs. Schedule | Program leaders are assigned to approximately 25 programs per year, concentrated from October through June. While assigned to a program, the program leader’s schedule is not the standard 9-to-5 work week. Program schedules typically run from 8am through 11pm, beginning on Sunday afternoon and running through Thursday night.
Compensation and Benefits | The starting salary range is $44,000 to $49,000 per year.
